The board of OHTA has approved the appointment of Hans Thore Smedbold as the elected representative of IOHA. Hans Thore was warmly welcomed as a director of OHTA on 2nd March.
The IOHA representative will be an important conduit between OHTA and the IOHA National Associations’ representatives on the IOHA board. An active figure in the Norwegian Industrial Hygiene Association, Hans Thore brings valuable experience as an IOHA board member and as a member of the OHTA Qualifications Group. He is a senior consultant within Occupational Hygiene in the Norwegian Oil and Gas industry.
The appointment of Hans Thore is one of a number of recent constitutional changes at OHTA designed to enable greater involvement from IOHA and national associations.
