The Sue Davies Award Trust is proud to announce the relaunch of the Sue Davies Award. It was established to commemorate the invaluable contribution of the late Sue Davies to OHTA.  Sue was not only a driving force, but was considered wise counsel to those establishing and implementing the international training scheme and global qualifications framework.

The overall objective of the Sue Davies Award is to provide the opportunity for the Award recipient to attend an OHTA500 series course to progress their occupational hygiene career in their respective country. This is done by awarding up to three free examinations per candidate for the OHTA500 series modules.

The growth in the number of trained occupational hygienists will contribute to the development of the  occupational hygiene profession both locally and regionally.

The countries which will be considered as emerging economies are based on those not on the list of the the WESP developed economies located here.

Successful applicants who are not able to fund courses independently, or via their place of work, are then encouraged to work with one of our OHTA Approved Training Providers to see if they are able to provide a free or reduced cost course, to complement the free examination/s awarded by OHTA via the Sue Davies Foundation award funding. Please note, OHTA cannot guarantee that its trainers will be able to provide free or reduced cost courses.

Students who are able to self-fund the courses can proceed directly to booking their courses using our online course calendar and should advise the trainer of the free examination/s that have been awarded when booking.
