Course Overview
This course is designed to increase awareness, knowledge, and management of hazardous substances found in many workplaces. The course introduces students to industries where hazardous substances are commonly used or produced and what their harmful effects can be. It also explains the foundational principles of physiology, toxicology and epidemiology. It is suitable for OHS personnel, facilities managers, OH technicians and service providers, occupational physicians and allied health professionals, safety teams, and OH regulators and inspectors.

Learning Outcomes

Gain a deep understanding of toxicology and how hazardous substances impact human organs through various routes of entry. Learn to identify acute and chronic health effects to better assess risks and implement effective workplace health surveillance.
